How to Purchase a Gun Online

Purchasing a firearm online can feel like an overwhelming challenge if you’ve never been through the process before. Fortunately it’s not nearly as confusing or insurmountable as it may initially appear. Following these few simple steps will enable you to easily and confidently purchase a firearm from our online store. If you are a resident of Oklahoma and located in the Oklahoma City area you can skip all these steps. Simply choose the ‘local pickup’ option at checkout. Then come into our shop whenever is convenient for you, fill out the required paperwork and take your new gun home.

1) Find your next firearm.

The first step will feel familiar to anyone who has shopped online before. Simply find the firearm you wish to purchase in our online storefront and add that item to your cart like any other product.

2) Checkout like any other purchase.

Once you have finished shopping the next step is to continue to the checkout process.It is important to note that the checkout information should be your name and address. Do not use the name and/or address of your FFL. If you are an Oklahoma resident and in the Oklahoma City area at this time you have the option to choose ‘local pickup’ and simply pick up your firearm at C.O.P.S GunShop.

 

3) Find your local FFL dealer.

After you have paid for your purchase you will need to find an FFL dealer near you who can facilitate the transfer. Most gun stores will gladly help you with an FFL transfer for $15-25. Once you have found a local FFL dealer have them fax/email a copy of their FFL license to C.O.P.S. GunShop.

4) Pickup your new firearm from your FFL.

The firearm is then shipped to your FFL dealer. After the package arrives you should be notified by your FFL dealer. Then you simply go to your dealer, fill out the necessary paperwork and take possession of your new firearm.
