Attention to every detail is what led us to deliver a pistol caliber carbine platform that is reliable, affordable, and has a familiar set of operating controls for any AR-15 user. The FX-9 is billet machined aluminum with hardened steel QPQ nitride components for extended wear and corrosion resistance.
Depending on the barrel length our pistol-caliber carbines can give you more maneuverability in tight spaces. You also gain lower recoil, which provides you with faster target acquisition. A pistol-caliber carbine also provides more stability than a handgun. All of this makes a pistol-caliber carbine ideal for home defense or as a dedicated truck gun.
The FX-9 modular design allows it to be configured in 1,000s of combinations with Freedom Ordnance accessories and after market AR components. You can customize the FX-9 until you’ve dialed in the exact build for your next mission.

The Freedom Ordnance FX-9 series of pistol caliber carbines have a reduced recoil when compared to 5.56 rounds or shotgun rounds. You can place shots and retarget quicker between follow-up shots. When every second count having this tactical advantage can mean the difference between life and death.
SHOOTS LIKE A LASER
The FX-9 has a longer sight radius than a handgun which provides greater accuracy. Wider hand placement in conjunction with the FX’s stabilizer or stock increase stability allowing you to dial in shot placement with laser-like precision.
CLOSE QUARTER COMBAT
The upper and lower receiver of the FX-9 is more than 1 inch shorter than a standard AR-15 upper and lower receiver making it more compact and lighter than a conventional mil-spec AR-15 design. Combine this with our 8-inch barrel configuration, and you have an excellent home defense gun that allows you to maneuver between rooms and hallways.

Our Pistol Caliber carbines and pistols use a standard double stack Glock style 9mm magazine and includes a thirty-three round double stack magazine. Trips to the range are breeze we can you swap your carry pistol and PCC magazines in and out without effort.

The FX-9 upholds Xtreme reliability with a wide range of ammo including many hollow point designs for self defense and full metal jacket. We do not recommend the use of non jacketed ammunition as unprotected lead can cause fouling and buildups that plated and jacketed bullets do not. Do not use aluminum case ammunition in your FX-9!!

- MATERIAL The FX-9 is machined from billet material, anodized type III aluminum components. Steel components are full hard nitride and nickle boron nitirded including the barrel, bolt, ejector, last round hold open, feed ramp and extractor for extended wear properties and corrosion resistance.

Using aluminum casing, remanufactured, reloads or lead projectiles could void your warranty. Also, It does not include cosmetics, or issues that may result in changing out the fire control, buffer, buffer spring, or normal wear parts (ex. firing pin spring). - IMPORTANT Operation
The FX-9 Pistol is designed for right handed use. We advise left handed shooters to consider this before purchase, as some features may not be well suited to all left handed shooters.
Trigger
We do not recommend using aftermarket lighter weight triggers, if you wish to try an aftermarket trigger group we recommend keeping your factory supplied trigger group nearby for re-installation as it has more disconnector engagement built into it than a normal mil spec trigger group or after market trigger group.
